The Sound of Sunshine, The Story of Sunshine Cottage book recounts the trials and triumphs of more than six decades as a private, non-profit educational institution and as a recognized industry leader and advocate for hearing health. The author, Mary M. Fisher is a retired school administrator and an award winning journalist who also wrote One Hundred Years of Excellence: The Story of the Alamo Heights Independent School District and of the children’s book, Rosita’s
Bridge.  

The cover artwork is by Artist Eva Castillo-Cavazos (acrylic and paper quilling). Castillo-Cavazos says, “It has been an honor and privilege to have had my work selected by Sunshine Cottage as part of a tribute to their legacy. I feel truly special!”
