with no words, it allows the professional to monitor the progress
of preverbal behaviors.
. Pre-Sentence - For children who
have started speaking, it monitors the emergence of a full range
of semantic intentions through 2-3 word combinations.
. Simple Sentence - For children
who are ready to develop complete simple sentences, it includes
basic grammatical morphemes, the development of conversation, and
the earliest examples of complex language.
. Complex Sentence - For children
ready to develop more sophisticated language abilities, it samples
a broad variety of discourse skills, increasingly difficult question
forms, elaborated noun phrases and subordination.
. Sounds & Speech - A companion
instrument that may be used at the same time as one of the other
scales to monitor the development of sound awareness, phonetic listening
discriminations, phonetic and phonologic speech.
