Sunshine Cottage is extremely grateful for the financial support it receives from alumni, faculty, staff, parents, friends, foundations and businesses. This support has enabled our school to become the wonderful place that it is today.

However, ongoing financial support is still needed. As Sunshine Cottage has grown over the years, there has been an increasing need for new facilities to accomodate the growth of our diversified areas of service and adminstration.  As we ready ourselves for this upcoming capital campaign, continued assistance is still needed from those who believe in our mission.

Sunshine Cottage recognizes that giving is an individual decision. This is why we offer giving opportunities to fit one's own personal goals with the school's needs. For example, many alumni give because they received scholarships and financial aid as students and want to see other children fully enjoy the education they themselves received from Sunshine Cottage. Others support favorite programs such as the Hearing Aid Loaner Program because they desire to see all children with hearing loss provided with the best equipment possible.

Tee It Up! for Sunshine Cottage

2008 marks the fourth year Sunshine Cottage has participated in Golf San Antonio’s Birdies for Charity fundraising campaign. Birdies for Charity is a fundraising program designed by Golf San Antonio to give participating organizations the opportunity to generate contributions through the Valero Texas Open.  
   
A penny doesn’t buy very much, but through the Birdies for Charity campaign every penny counts! Your pledge of just $.01 for every birdie made at the 2008 Valero Texas Open can multiply into thousands of dollars to help our children! Of course, you can pledge more if you like or you can make a minimum contribution of $20.

Through your individual or corporate pledge you have an opportunity to:
● Win the Grand Prize – a Buick Enclave!
● Win a pair of American Airlines tickets to anywhere in the contiguous United States
● Win one of more than 100 prizes
● Help children who are hearing impaired or hard of hearing to learn to listen and talk!

So, swing into action…fill out the enclosed form and mail it back in the enclosed envelope no later than Friday, September 12th.

Become a Birdies Club member by pledging $.50 per birdie or give an outright donation of $1,000 and be recognized as a Birdies Club member on a sign display during tournament week and you will receive four weekend tickets and a parking pass to the 2008 Valero Texas Open at La Cantera October 6-12, 2008.

Target Stores Take Charge of Education

Target's Take Charge of Education program began in 1997. Target has given back more than $100 million to schools throughout the country. Every time you make a purchase using your Target Visa or Target Card, Sunshine Cottage will receive a donation from Target in an amount equal to one percent (1%) of the total purchase.
