Music

Beginning in kindergarten, students participate in weekly music classes with our Music Teacher, Misty Sindt.  At all levels, objectives from the Texas Essentials of Knowledge and Skills, and National Music Standards are incorporated into music programming.  Students are exposed to musical elements such as rhythm and beat, instrument instruction, singing, dancing, music appreciation and composition. Students develop musical knowledge and skills as well as listening, language and academic skills. Our music teacher provides purposeful hands-on learning experiences at every level. Students at the elementary level are able to participate in after-school extracurricular music activities and programs throughout the year.
