I think kids, parents, and staff alike all had fun, and we should earn a good chunk of money for our library. We had a visit from Zero the Hero, a good turnout for the Poetry Jam, and several guest readers who entertained our kids with great books. During the Poetry Jam, some of the little ones didn’t want to be left out; so, they came up to tell nursery rhymes and even sing songs. You know how our kids shine when you put a mic in their hands! Justin and Matthew’s rendition of Take Me Out to the Ball Game brought smiles to everyone’s face. :) I wasn’t sure what to expect since we had never done this before, but from the feedback that I’ve gotten so far, I think we might need to make this an annual event!
