Dr. Ibarra received a doctorate degree (2016) in Culture, Language and Literacy from the University of Texas in San Antonio. She has also been a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist, LSLS Cert. AVEd since 2009. In addition, Dr. Ibarra has over 38 years of pedagogical experience in a variety of educational settings, including 25 years at Sunshine Cottage. Since 2005, she has shared her knowledge and expertise of the Cottage Acquisition Scales for Listening, Language, and Speech (CASLLS) throughout the United States training and consulting with educators, speech pathologists, and audiologists in the implementation of the CASLLS. Currently, Dr. Ibarra is the Coordinator for Instructional Practices and CASLLS Support at Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children in San Antonio, Texas.
